Information concerning home improvement allowances within stimulus package.
Rumor that stimulus package included a $1500.00 home improvement provision for home-owners to use for various improvements. Looking for information verifying this as well as what material and work (including labor, I was told) will qualify for the "rebate".

I think it's just 30% of your overall expenses with $1500 being the most you can get back. Contractor magazine says the rebate would be "for the installation of qualified energy efficient water heaters, furnaces, boilers, air source heat pumps and central air conditioners in 2009 and 2010." I think it covers insulation and energy efficient windows, too...can't find where they list everything eligible...

I would imagine labor wouldn't be included on there, but I will research it a little bit more and see what I can find.
