if they already mail the check and after 1 week i have not got it, what will i do?

i have not received my federal tax refund yet but they mailed it a week ago.

According to Where's My Refund, you have to wait 28 days after they mail it before you can start on online trace.

How do you know they've mailed it? I'd love to know that...

Anyway... one week is not enough for something to go through TWO governmental organizations: the IRS and the US Postal Service. Give it some time. At least another week.

I talked to someone the other day who had his stimulus check intercepted and cashed. He got the money in the end after starting a trace, and the thief pled guilty. So don't worry too much. Give it time, and if it doesn't come, you'll eventually get it.
