If BoA invoked the MAC clause why did the fed threaten to invoke powers to replace BoA management and board?

Why was Bank of America so vulnerable?

Does the MAC clause get suspend in a time of emergency or systematic risk?

because the FED wanted the merger to close...it has lent more money than any other bank in this country...no the MAC clause is unaffected
