Research the options each company gives you. Compare the plans to each other. I like to goto progressive.com and get comparitive quotes online, but if you don't have a perfect driving record the online quotes will be inaccurate. If you have any moving violations, accidents or are under 25 years old and the value of your vehicle will affect your insurance rates.

If you are a little weary about the insurance company you want to use visit the ambest website for a review of their company.

I've been with Allstate for my car and truck and progressive for my motorcycle. I have not had any problems with the two companies I use. I have heard that state farm and geico are excellent also.
