If you do not have your own product, there are several options
My favorite is affiliate marketing. This is promoting other poples' proucts for a commission. The advantage of this is you do not have to store the product or anything like that. You are simply a middle man or traffic broker. More info at http://www.affiliatemarketingintro.com
Drop shipping. That's another good option where you sell products but the products get delivered from the drop shippers directly to the client. Again meaning no need for storage by you
Adsense websites Building informational websites and monetizing them by displaying other peoples' ads on the website. The most popular is adsense but there are other ad agencies you could use. I believe yahoo search marketing provides a similar service. And there is adbrite and a whole host of others
Ebay. his is still popular. Either sell things you have at home that you don't want or combine it with dropshipping
Online surveys and data entry. Personally i don't know anyone who is making a significant income from this but it's an option
Just to advice be careful if you want to go into this. There are a lot of 'opportunities' out there that say you can make money woth them but demand an up front fee first. I would approach these with caution
If you have your own company, then building a website or blog advertising your services would be a good option
Good luck

But you not said about your skill? I will suggest you be a web developer and develop other sitee and earn money you also can join in a freelancing site like elance.com,project4hire.com etc
You also can develop your own site and monetize it bu adsense or website's affiliate program. These are only ads.
You also be a data entry operator if you have a good skill in typing and exel.
You also be a graphics designer then you will get work of logo design, banner design etc.
If you know well flash you take order from a buyer or company for their work.
And many many suggestion I can give but I don't know your actual skill. So I can not help you further can you tell your skill? Hi, If you're good at computers (hardware and software) the the others who answered before me already gave the answers. If you don't know any technical knowledge but love surfing, there are other ways to earn here like paid surveys, paid-to-clicks, joining social networking sites that pay like mahalo and myLot, and blogging. Though you don't earn huge amount of money from these sites(except for blogging), you still get to earn some to spend on things you want to buy for yourself.

One way I've made money is surveys - both taking them and referring others. However, there are many scams out there - never sign up for a program that charges a membership fee. The program that I've made the most money from is Survey Savvy - owned by Luth Research:

There are many others. It is sad though as I see that many are reducing their rewards.

This is a very broad question and difficult to respond with specific recommendations. However, there are several ways you can make money over the internet and some requires you to have special skills, an online presence such as a blog or a website, and there are those that you can make money with, without the necessity of having a blog. With a blog:
You can monetize your site by using AdSense or alternatives to this, paid post, affiliate marketing, selling links (not totally recommended), etc.
Without a blog:
Free Lance writer, ghost blogging, selling services (like web design), Mahalo for that matter, etc.
Here are some other information where you can make money on the internet:
