1. If I needed quick cash I would go to hit the Starbucks, Walmart, etc. type stores and try to get started with them.

2. A lot of areas have day labor spots if you're able to do that kind of work (think folks lining up outside of Home Depot and Gardening stores). I would. hold up a sign that said "Trustworthy, Hard-working day laborer: $10 an hour."

3. The donating blood thing isn't a bad idea... I guess. Depends on how quickly you need the money.

4. Collecting cans seems crazy, but I bet it would work.

I guess the issue here is we don't know how much money and what type of time frame you have.

In some areas you can sell a pint of blood. I don't know how much you would get for it. Panhandling in a big city at a place with a lot of foot traffic might bring in some dough. If you have a talent to display, it's even better, especially if it's in a tourist area. If you have something of value, you can take it to a pawnshop. They have to keep it for a certain number of days so that you get a chance to redeem it.
And of course, there are certain illegal methods. Please, don't use those. Don't Madoff anyone.

Very relevant, quick answer. I like how you clearly steered away from illegal or dicey things (like drug trials), but gave a couple of of quick suggestions. This is a difficult time; I'm sure you helped more than just the questioner out.

Here are some ways, yet not recommending them. With every way, there is always risk and uncertainty. You usually have to have some money to make some money, or have some time to make some money.

1. Play the lottery and get lucky.
2. By some stocks cheap and flip them in a day and a gain.
3. Go to a casino, put a lot of money on red or black, then win, and walk away.
4. Use a talent (ie. playing guitar on the street) on the weekend and panhandle in a big city.
5. Sell some of your junk on eBay or Craigslist. Your trash may be someone else's treasure.
6. Sell some blood.

How much money are you trying to make, and how fast?

Ebay and other online auction sites, like http://www.bonanzle.com allow you to make money within a few days, and it's legal. Almost anything else is going to either take more preparation, or be either more risky or illegal.

start writing blogs on your subject of expertise put some google adsense , do some publicity of your blog .Money start rolling in.

I would really recommend selling plasma. Try googling the city you live in and the word plasma or plasma center. If you are married you can get your spouse in on it and make about $500 a month. You can sell twice a week, and it takes about two hours.

The best part about it is that you can go in when you want to. Unlike a regular job, there is no commitment to go in at a certain time, or a certain day of the week.

Also you can sell stuff online and/or have a garage sale.
