Why do stock prices fall when commodity prices rise?

Yes they do because stocks fell because the US dollar fell and this causes commodity to rise and there will be more interest rate cuts soon.So commodity may peak.

Supply and demand determines if a stock will rise and fall. They are several factors that shift the supply and demand curves in a stock market. Factors such as inflation,interest rates,economic growth,expectations of future corporate earnings and political environment.
