AIG did owe $500 billion, if long term interest rates go up one percent. Does this correlation still exist?

Has AIG shed its exposure and risk correlations?

AIG had 160% exposure too Wall Street or five banks.

Are the Hedge funds profiting from the Banks and AIG insurance payouts? If so at what rate?

No, the government now owes it for the entity placed in conservatorship. The non-conservatored entities have fixed rate obligations that actively trade in the debt market.

The fed has given assignments to JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and Bank of America to assist in the dismantling of AIG. The fees for the dismantling will be about $1 billion.
