Living in Flint I have found very little of interest and even fewer activities to take part in. Am I missing something?
I've lived in this area now for around 5 years and find that to really have a good time I have to leave town. I've checked out a few things they have going. It wasn't worth the time and trouble.
I know Flint, Michigan has things going but where, when and for whom?

I gre up in the Flint area and I have been to all of these venues or artists and I can vouch for them personally.
1. Flint Institute of Arts including the Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium.
The Sloan museum has interesting exhibits on General Motors (including old cars) and the UAW. The uAW has a particularly interesting exhibit on teh 1936 sit down strike.

2. Whiting Auditorium has an impressive lineup for 2009-20010, including country music (The Country Rat Pack), The Moscow Ballet, Comedy (Sinbad), Grammy winner Kenny Wayne Shepherd and many more.

3. Here's a local band you don't want to miss. They just returned from entertaining the troops in Korea and Japan, and the put on a GREAT show. If you like blues/rock, (think Leonard Skinnard/Greg Allman (but all original).
