Probably "The Things That Should Not Be" from Master of Puppets.
I'm a fan of slow and grinding "mood music"
A close second would be Dyers Eve from ...And Justice for All, because a little speed never hurts once in a while either.

Now, however, I have lost respect for Metallica due to their voicing such opposition about downloading their music online. I think they should just be psyched that so many people love their music. I mean, seriously, they already make millions each year. They have to be one of the highest paid groups ever and they are griping? So, I haven't bought a Metallica album in almost ten years now.

The title track from "Ride the Lightning". I used to love to listen to this track and album while snowboarding. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uebInqG1pJI

I used to be a Metallica freak! There are many tracks I love, but "Unforgiven" was my favorite of all time because it seemed to speak to me personally. Anyone remember when that album came out back in the early 1990's? My husband and I had a disagreement. He said "Enter Sandman" was originally the most popular track from that album, but I disagree. "Unforgiven" was the song I remember the radio stations started playing immediately and "Enter Sandman" was added to the playlists later on.
