Pandora is a free streaming music service that let's you create a radio station of similar artists after selecting your favorite. They do this based on the characteristics of the music and with a team a humans (i.e. like Mahalo and Mahalo Answers!).

For slipknot they say similar artists include:

Korn
Drowning Pool
Mudvayne
Disturbed
System Of A Down
