How effective are SNRI's on menapause symptoms. Had to have unexpected complete hysterectomy and dr says SNRI with estrogen is good

I am told SNRI's will elliviate the hot flashes and mood swings that have come with surgical menapause. I've found a little research on Prastiq and the results for this use, but overall how effective are they?

I actually had not heard about SNRI's used for menopause but I found this article talking about the increased use for it.

I actually found that black cohosh helps me the most. I take it at night to combat the hot flashes because I had to stop taking estrogen and the hot flashes were still a problem after my hsyterectomy. This is a natural supplement and has no side effects for me, but all antidepressants come with a list of possible side effects (some of which can be very unpleasant like weight gain, decreased libido, appetite changes, etc). Whenever possible it is best to try natural supplements instead of medications that come with side effects. I am happy I chose the natural route so far.
