What is the dosage for Miralax for a 7 yr old prepping for a colonoscopy?

The colonoscopy is to screen for chron's or colitis in a 7 yr. old girl.

I found a page from the site of the Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo, New York, that instructs to take "the prescribed amount," so sounds like ideally you'd want to double-check with your pediatrician as to the exact amount that should be taken the day before and two days before.

"Prep #2" via the link below is the one for kids under 8. They talk about certain numbers of grams of the powdered version of Miralax, but checking with your doctor is the safest bet, sounds like.

And no food, not even gum or candy, after midnight the night before the procedure! Yikes...

Thanks Dean. FYI it's no food, gum, or candy for the whole day before. They have to be on a clear liquid diet, no dairy, and no red juices.
