Cozumel, Mexico is gorgeous. It is on the Caribbean and you get the blue waters and white sands. It is also an Island and it is absolutely gorgeous and has rain forest.
We given our trip to Cozumel as a wedding gift and went back every year after that until a few years ago. Our kids are getting older and have not reached an age where I feel safe enough to take them yet. But we plan to take them.
Cozumel is really laid back and relaxing, unlike Cancun and Acapulco who are bustling.
There is a lot going on in Mexico right now, so I am not sure if it is safe. But it has been our favorite destination and there is a lot to do from snorkeling, scuba diving and plenty of shopping.Also very rich with History.
