Would 10 or so cigarette butts really mess up your toilet and entire water supply upstairs?

What's happening is the toilet is flushed, then the water level rises a bit before going back down. Any ways of fixing this? The butts went down months ago (idiotic, I know, it's a long story). The toilet isn't close to overflowing or anything. Can I fix this myself? The water just seems to rise a little bit higher than normal..

Secondly, today the water supply upstairs stopped. Showers, taps, everything. Is it possible I messed it all up? Will the plumber find out what I did? I know, idiotic... the joys of living with your parents...

Flushing the butts down the toilet would have nothing to do with your water supply problems. Nobody will know that you've been a "bad boy" when the plumber comes. Not to worry.

I have flushed cig butts down my basement toilet for years and have never had a problem. If it didnt clog, i wouldnt worry about it too much.
