Can you run a gas line to a stove or do you have to hire a professional?
This new house I am in has an electric stove and I have a gas stove. How hard is it to run a gas line so I can use my stove? I don't have the option of just keeping the electric stove, I hate them refuse to use them. Must have my gas stove back :)

With something as potentially dangerous to your health as a leaky gas line, I would ALWAYS leave that kind of thing to a professional.
If you messed something up, how would you know before it was too late to do something about it?
Not to mention that you'll probably have to lay down a whole new line through the walls (unless there was a gas stove in there at some point, you will). Do you really think that kind of job is a DIY?

Based upon my background in the insurance industry, I would always say hire a professional AND make sure they are insured. It isn't worth taking chances.
