Maher wanted more money. She should be prosecuted for extortion. What happened was not right but way did she take $150,000?
It doesn't make sense that after all this time a women would come forth with the information unless she wanted more money and the Garn's refused to pay. Healing, I really doubt it it was extortion, they refuse to pay her any more money. It was wrong of Garn, so wrong and he should not represent Utah, but it sounds like she wanted more money and got it from the tabaloids and the notoriety (which I am certain she has been well paid).

She should be prosecuted for extortion, but part of me can't blame her for being pissed and taking the money. They guy had no business being naked in a hot tub with a 15 year old.
The only thing about the story thats not surprising is that he's a politician. This guy should be booted from office immediately. I think if you have so much as a misdemeanor on your record or are an admitted adulter, tax cheat, etc You should be booted from office or not allowed to run.
How can we expect to have any faith or confidence or respect for government when you have idiots like this in office.
