We've been hearing a lot about "verticals" regarding Mahalo 3.0. What are these verticals, and why are they significant?

Vertical managers are going to be above page managers, but below Mahalo staff. They are going to get 20% of all the Google Adsense money earned by the pages in their vertical category on Mahalo.

I've been seeing 10% thrown around for vertical managers. Is it 10% or 20%?

This does not answer the question of what are these verticals.

Sorry Opher. Verticals are categories on Mahalo, such as Business, Cars and Transportation, Consumer Electronics, Coupons Deals, etc. Imagine a spreadsheet with all the categories as vertical columns, and each page manager having a row. Page managers can have pages in any category...

It would be less confusing if Mahalo called the Vertical Managers "Category Managers".

Verticals is the name of a group of pages that the vertical manager oversees. I'm not exactly sure how it works yet, but basically a Vertical Manager will have the responsibility to keep an eye on page managers, usually of a specific category and make sure that category is being optimized in all ways in terms of quality and revenue.
