Last Chance to Vote for the Mahalo Archive of the Week!
===================
Here is your chance to show off all your hard earned work within Mahalo.
Each page on Mahalo is a result of endless labour from individuals like you and me. What we are potentially building are timeless archives of information on every possible topic under the Sun.
Will your Mahalo Page become the absolute go-to information source for that topic? Only time will tell, until then we can highlight some of our greatest work.
How to Play
1. Submit your page (one page only please) as an answer below and explain what you have done to ensure it becomes the greatest page on that topic. Was it new, or was it claimed? It does not matter as long as you explain the work you've done you're page is eligible to win.
2. Vote for as many submission as you like by clicking the "Helpful Answer" Please come back often and vote, even if you are voting for your competition this contest will only work if we have voters.
3. There is M$10 at stake, half will go to that with the most votes (tipped after BA selected), the other half will be rewarded by myself (and perhaps other judges) as we will judge each page that comes in. The same user could potentially win both prizes.
PS: Please don't vote "Unhelpful" on users pages, everybody is trying. And as soon as I get the ability back to see your names, I will be hurt if I see you did it.

I have only just begun, so far the following sections have been updated, but are by no means finished yet:
Introduction
The Mahalo Top 7
Featured Video
Fast Facts
UFO Researchers and Writers (more coming soon)
UFO Photographs (very nice collection, take a look)
UFO Videos (still looking for more)
and, last but not least - Recommended Reading, a section that I'm specially proud of. It contains a list of great books, a must read for every serious student of the phenomenon!
All of this is still very much work-in-progress, I'm updating the page daily, adding new material & stuff.
The page is part of three-page project which includes Alien Abductions (another one that I claimed), and Aliens, a page I begun building from scratch yesterday (can you believe it - there was no page on aliens among Mahalo Search Result Pages!)

I am adding more facts to it. keep checking in
Make sure you vote everyone EVEN if it is NOT for me
I picked this one because Bob Marley was such an awesome person
To Fix this just click the "More" button and you will see a bunch of new photos appear.

Then you can curate the section by delete unrelated images and promoting related images to the top. (Just hover over the images and you'll see the legend)

Otherwise, Good Work!
You can move sections around by using the legend.

Also, for your featured object, if you click "edit" You can title it and add a description, maybe find some information about the background of the song, that information will appear beside the video and probably impress many readers. Great topic btw, I love Bob Marley..who doesnt

Another factor is the automatically generated search string for the images. Searching for for Andy Murray seems to find photos about people called Andy and people called Murray. Changing the search string to "Andy Murray" (quotes needed) gets rid of a lot of rubbish.
I have a page about the "The Wire" and was inundated with pictures of bits of wire, wirecutters and the like! :)
RoboDynamics is the first company to commercialize a robotic telepresence solution - where a robot acts as a surrogate for a remote worker to interact better (and more intuitively) with people back at the office.
Not only do I keep this page filled with informative (and fun) facts, but it also touches on a subject that is on the cutting-edge of technology and... let's face it, deals with real *robots*.

Also a Featured section would provide a great opportunity to feature a video about your company.. I like this one :D

Changed it to one! I picked it because I really enjoy watching videos by Marina Orlova, and she's an Internet Celebrity who really has influenced many to enjoy learning about word origins.

Zoran is, of course, my humble self; the InterAllianz was my original YouTube channel later deleted by Tube.
Great choice, Easyboy!
- Families
- LDS religion

- Recreation
- Book of Mormon

Also... I don't mean to nitpick, but I don't think a User looking for information about Utah would expect a link to the book of Mormon as the #1 link, or GlennBeck.com as the #3 link.
Perhaps reserve those top links for Official Utah sites?
I should be seeing
1. Inflation
2. Beign Tumours
3. Utah
4. Utah Jazz
5. Idaho
6. Earthquakes
7. Oracle
8. Citigroup

Otherwise, Mahalo is not a blog, it's a Serp (a Search Engine Result) meaning you want to design your pages to be informative and not overly personal.
We do have a few other pages that pertain specifically to Mormon topics:
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (currently unclaimed)
Mormon Endowment Ceremony(currently unclaimed)
Book Of Mormon(currently unclaimed)
Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints(currently unclaimed)
Joseph Smith(currently unclaimed)
Gordon B. Hinckley(currently unclaimed)
Will you complete the trade.
Some of the newest stuff: charity work, personal life, john mayer trio, and some other stuff. I've also added some new links, such as his official Twitter page and things like that. I want it to be the definitive source on John Mayer info, news, and gossip!
Check it out!

I would only suggest that you move the MP3's and Featured Video sections all the way up to the top of the page, or, right under Mahalo Top 7, which is a default leading section.
http://www.mahalo.com/the-clash
I've added and deleted photos, amazon.com links, changed the layout (for instance clash on twitter was way to high on the page) and added a link.
What do you guys think of this page?

Just posted lots of videos as from my personal experience sometimes video can give better perspective than text and images review.

I only claimed the psychology page a week ago and have made a few alterations already. I'm going to spend a fair bit of time over the next few days really sorting it to where I'm happy with it as a start point. From there it's going to be build, build, build. I want to make this a good comprehensive introduction page to my wonderful field of interest.
Please feel free to make suggestions about it. Being a newbie here, I'd really appreciate a few words of wisdom from you guys.
Take care all :)

Over time you can work on bulking up the guide note by adding new text sections, You could write about the History, the controversies, the breakthroughs in the field. Otherwise, good luck with your page, can't wait to see how it works out!
You're right, this is a great page and does already have some great sites listed on there, as well as other features. I can't believe how lucky I am to have got this page. If all goes well, and I can obtain more pages, I should like to build one around my own field of psychology.
Thanks again.
Here's a page I have been working on the most. I created it as a new page because it did not exist yet on Mahalo.
I claimed this page because I know a lot about it so I can ensure it will be the best possible page for this topic. I have added the best links, videos, and pictures and I will continue to work on it to make it even better. Please check it out. Thanks!

http://www.mahalo.com/capitalism
I've always been interested in the social science of economics. I tried to include information on how capitalism has changed over time.
voted helpful: jeffhoard, interzone, buddawiggi
Right now, you have 4 links from Wikipedia in your top 7. I'd try to look around for a few different sources...here are a few that might be helpful:
http://www.wsu.edu/~dee/GLOSSARY/CAPITAL.HTM
http://www.econlib.org/library/Enc/Capitalism.html

Have fun with your page!

I manage the Boston Red Sox page. I have added a complete history from the Baseball Almanac and an almost complete timeline starting at the year 1900. I updated the top 17 pictures and the Guide Note which could probably use some work.
One thing I'm having a lot of trouble with is finding out how to cite my sources.
How do I edit that?

ok well leaving the code was harder than i thought, so here is a screen shot of my message before i save.

I think I've really cultivated a great Top 7, provided some yummy fan images, and of course I put the very amazing trailer front-and-center, along with a category just for the theatrical release date. I'm also glad to have some advance critical response to the movie, for those anticipating its release.
This page already existed, it's one I claimed and have done a lot of work with.

It did not exist until I came along. I'm one of the few people who still actively talk about the Rutles on the internet (they were a common topic of discussion on the internet in the late '90s). I have gathered information from the official Rutles page and the only major Rutles fan-site on the internet, but most of the info on that page comes from the Rutles mockumentary, "All You Need is Cash," which actually gives the fictional history of the group.

My other advice would be to add more headlines to your guide note, its a big block of text. You could potentially split this up into numerous text sections with headlines. (Like "Fictional Career" and "Actual Career" could be two separate text sections in your note)

http://www.mahalo.com/farmtown-game
It's Farm Town on Facebook. It's just a silly little time waster game but my wife started playing it and I enjoy talking with her about it.
I have a LOT of work to do I know; therefore, any suggestions would be great.
I am having quite a bit of difficulty fighting the interface. Most of the time I add something and it doesn't show up. Then I add it again and it shows up twice. I'm sure this is some weird caching issue but it does waste a good bit of time.
Also is there some Mahalo excepted way to add screenshots? I mean is there some image hosting service you prefer. I'd use flickr but then it counts against my personal limit. Can you put pictures directly into your text blocks? I mean when illustrating a game it would be helpful but I've not noticed any examples(I've not searched real hard either.)
voted helpful: hlruther, buddawiggi
I think my first critique would be putting your text blocks as sections in the guide note instead of within the link list. On a page like this the left column would be idea for links/images/videos - it's sometimes hard navigating around the ad blocks to read a sentence or two of text. The guide note is for text those blocks will look magnificent on the side.
I also added a video section (you can delete it if you like) it was the first thing I looked for as a curious reader who has never seen the game in action before. A good idea might be finding the best video and using the "featured object" option to feature it. Otherwise, great start, remember to clear your cache when something looks fishy.

http://www.mahalo.com/god-of-war-3
To make my page awesome I tried to add information that people would want: lots of demos, previews and gameplay info. I then worked to achieve the right visual impact by varying links, text and images effectively.
Hopefully you guys like it!

I just claimed How to Use Coupons, http://www.mahalo.com/how-to-use-coupons.
I'm hoping to update it with great information in the next couple of days. I'm a newbie, so this may take a bit more effort to navigate. There is alot of good information already there, but I'm a major couponer and will be adding much more very soon. :)

http://www.mahalo.com/ice-cream
All kinds of advice are wellcome.
voted helpful: jeffhoard, buddawiggi, interzone
I think as you manage it going forward you would want to build out different sections.. Like a link section exclusively dedicated to how to make ice-cream and maybe add a featured video below that section with the best "how to" video.
What do you think?
It didn't exist, so I had to create it from scratch. I picked this topic because I love music from all genres.
