If you claim the page, then yes you can edit it, and reap the benefits of being paid 50% of the earnings from the advertisements on that page. To my knowledge, there is no way to restrict anyone else from editing.
You can pin sections on a page, yet there are certain people who can move these pins, and I believe it's people who work at Mahalo as Guides, or those who have obtained black belt status. You can find the small pin on each section, and when you pin a section the pin turns red.

You can "pin" an item, so it can't be changed by anyone else. Look for the small pin icon next to each item.
I believe you can also undo other people's changes, but I haven't found out how to do that yet. Or needed to... yet.
Also bear in mind that the revenue from the page is entirely split between you and Mahalo. So no-one else really has an incentive to update it.

It's a good thing that there are the pins! Like you, Dr.Matt, if I work hard getting a page just right, I really don't want it messed with.

Mahalo pages. Anyone can edit them?
I had the impression that, if I "claimed" a page, I would be the editor of that page and noone else would be able to muck with it. Am I missing something?
I'd hate for this to be like Wikipedia for me when I was editing the "Hypnosis" entry. I was spending most of my time guarding against and changing inappropriate entries all the time and, eventually, just gave up.
I just had someone make the wrong edits to one of my managed pages here at Mahalo.
Is there a way to restrict this?

I believe that anyone can edit any page, but as the manager you have certain privileges. You can "pin" an item, so it can't be changed by anyone else. Look for the small pin icon next to each item.

I'd noticed one of the Mahalo staffers had made a change to my page--it may be this is why it was hanging when I was originally setting it up. It's a good thing that there are the pins! Like you, Dr.Matt, if I work hard getting a page just right, I really don't want it messed with.

If you don't "pin" your sections anybody will be able to edit your page. What I suggest is once you've perfected a section and want nobody touching it, use the "pin" in that case the only people who could edit are black belts and employees, I would hope if they do edit they would have a good reason, also you can undo changes by visiting your pages history.
