So you've never been to a Mahalo Tutorial??

Well, you're missing a lot!

This is a great opportunity to connect with the Mahalo staff and hear what's new and exciting. Lon (and sometimes special surprise guests!) offer a lot of helpful tips in improving your Mahalo experience.

Have questions about Mahalo? This is a great forum to get them answered.

Plus, you never know what surprises they have in store for us. People who attend the tutorials often are privy to a lot of information that you can't get anywhere else.

And it's fun. We all have some good laughs, get a chance to say hi to each other in real-time, and Lon doesn't actually play any country music. We swear.

Hope we'll see you at 3:00pm EST!

The man has so many talents, I'd be surprised if he really can't play country.. Is there a Country Guitar Hero game already?

I too would like to know, this way I can update the drinking game page before the tutorial begins.

Amy, you could go for a general "drink" signal this time - like each time Lon touches his beard. Or when he takes a drink from his mug...

GNO that is too funny.. touches his beard. Jason's email said the topic was record payouts so I updated the page to say that, but I love your idea much better.

Ok, so what to expect during a tutorial with @Lon? Good question. I've attended quite a few tutorials now, and I still don't know what to expect this time :)

These tutorials are like an online chat with Mahalo staff, with video. @Lon presides the tutorial and tries to 'curb the enthousiasm' :)

Seriously, these tutorials are great. About 50 Mahaloians join in, and have lively discussions. We can ask any (ANY!) Mahalo or Conundrum related question to @Lon (and sometimes even non-related questions), and if possible, he'll try to answer them.
If you have a managed page you would like @Lon to comment on, he'll do that live. If you want some tips on how to properly answer questions, have a question on a new feature (like the new Anonymous questions), here's your chance.
@Lon usually has some things to show us too, he might show how to properly build a 'How To..' page, how to update your page, how to promote it, how to.. you name it.
Regularly, there are guest appearances. We've seen Jason and Mike pop in, sometimes showing us stuff the regular Mahaloians are not yet supposed to see, or to explain about where Mahalo is going.
The tutorial should be about an hour's length, but normally overruns to 90 minutes, and those 90 minutes fly by!

The tutorial ends with a random draw. The winners get a nice 'swag pack', including a Mahalo Mug, Hat, Towel and more!

So, if you want to connect with Mahalo Staff and your fellow Mahaloians, here's your chance. It is highly enjoyable, and I learn something new every time! I appreciate the time and effort spent by staff to actually hold these tutorials (or rather, 'gatherings'), and shows their true dedication to Mahalo.

I hope to see you there this afternoon (evening, night, morning, whatever it is in your timezone)!

(Edit: Eek, Lon, is that YOU?? :) )

Nope that ain't Lon, it's a fella by the name of Ryan Budke. I worked with him at Propeller.com before I came to Mahalo.

I love these tutorials and unfortunately I will have to most likely miss this one again this week :(

I try to keep a Lon scrapbook and I have been missing out as I missed last weeks tutorial and do not want to miss this one but time constraints might prevent me from attending.

I know that some of the "best of" tutorials are posted on the Mahalo Tutorials page but I wish we could watch them in there entirety.

Maybe a Mahalo Tutorials DVD Box Set will be in the works and hopefully released just in time for Christmas. What a stocking stuffer!

What should you expect from a live tutorial with Lon? Well, from what I've seen so far...expect the unexpected. Lon brings us something new and interesting every week. And you can't forget the entertaining discussions going on in the chat room!

I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully, I'll make it back from picking my kids up from school before this one starts. If not, I'll still be there - late, but still there. :)

Oh, man, I can't join live today. Lon is getting better every time I tune in, deftly weaving chaos into coherence as unexpected guests, chat room questions, jibes about his hat and other attention grabbing devices interrupt his stream of thought. It's also the best chance to network with other Mahaloans.

I'm going to have to watch the recorded version this week - I'm off to help someone find a location for a new business. Wish us luck, and know I'll miss you guys!

I'd normally post a photo, but that "Bachelon Breeze" shot is a winner, Jeff!

We all certainly put the "chat" in chat room, but Lon always seems to be able to sift through our silliness and get to the questions. "Thorough" comes to mind. I think the answers are insightful and that he gives 100% in fielding the queries. He has an interesting combo of seriousness when providing responses, along with a good sense of humor in scanning down our strings of nuttiness. So this week is regarding money? I like money! I actually noticed my new pages starting to kick in this week, so I'm keen to hear more.

Mahalo tutorials are fun. Along with the fun we learn a lot too. If there are some doubts about any Mahalo features, you can ask that. Even before @lon is there, Mahalonians will be chatting to each other. Any question is a good question. Sometimes lon will have guests too. Lat time it was mike. Any page management, page promotion questions...give a shout and you will get answers for sure.
We can ask about the special features in Mahalo. Also, the suggestions of members will be considered. The U stream system will allow you to sign up with the Mahalo user name and password for the tutorial. Just being there, you may win a prize too. So be ready for the fun!!
Want to see @lon in the wizard costume for another show?

I so wish I didn't have to work at this time. Please make these videos available for replay. On Ustream it looks like there is an option for Archived Videos. Maybe the tutorials could go there.
