I keep seeing things about claiming unclaimed or abandoned pages to manage. Where do I find these pages and how does that work?

I have created one page, but would like to try managing one that is already created as well so that I can get the hang of the editing and adding items.

There is one page Althingi. It is not claimed. You can try that. Just click on claim. Then it will be yours. It is the parliament of Iceland.
If you don't like it, search go to the mahalo.com page and serch for some keywords, like, milk, coffee, Gandhi etc. There will be some fully developed pages, but not claimed. Today will be the last day you can claim a page without asking the staff's permission. I heard it on Wednesday's Tutorial that you needed permission to claim a page after Friday. Since Mahalo 3 is launching only on Sunday, you may be lucky to claim a page on tomorrow. But I am not sure of it. So go ahead and claim one now. You can practice your page managing skills with that.
Good luck. Any questions, feel free to ask.

Try to add a featured a featured object. You can see that in user view, on the side, in the box below the "to guide note " section, under "links". You can add a video. Then it will become the featured video. Play with it to position where you want it. While I tried to add the featured object, I had to click on it then move the cursor back and bring it back to the featured object again. Then only it got updated. May be you are better than me. Anyway, try it. It is good for the page according to SEO experts.

Thanks for the information. I was thinking about claiming a page last night but did not see the Claim This Page button. It is probably a quality control measure.

Yes. What you need to do is send a mail to contact@mahalo.com and let them know you are interested in managing the page. They have to assign it to you.
