@jeffhoard.... I must admit I do a double-take every time I read the word "archive".

"Archiving" in my mind tends to mean getting rid of stuff that is no longer very useful, but should be filed in a basement corner just-in-case!

I'm glad someone made a page for this. I love to watch tv online.

For suggestion, make sure all your sections are related and useful. Ex. right now the videos section doesn't look like it's related to online tv. Same with the twitter, I don't think that is going to be helping with this topic.

@philipy I use it as it defined in the dictionary

--quote--
any extensive record or collection of data: The encyclopedia is an archive of world history. The experience was sealed in the archive of her memory.
--/quote--
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/archive

We want visitors of Mahalo pages to be presented with the best collection of information on the Topic. You as the manager, are essentially the curator of that information, like a curator at a museum sorts information to be useful for those who seek it. I see Mahalo in 2-4 years being the virtual museum of the world combining all the text, video, images and social aspects a visitor would need to get the information they seek...very exciting.

I couldn't help but to notice there is no guide note?

If your struggling with what to say, perhaps just a paragraph about what type of links users can expect to find on your page.

Much as if I said: "Jeff had a gay time in Paris."

Alright then, I believe my page is an excellent source for the topic because it provides a very basic outline of capitalism and provides info on how it differentiate from other economic philosophies in the guide note. Also the feature video directly faces one of the biggest criticism people have toward capitalism.

Here it is once again this time better than ever, I no longer have the fun green colors. The people of Mahalo have spoken and announced that they really do not like all the colors. Bob Marley I have found many questions about Bob Marley and have answered them on this page. I have spent many hours on this page. Creating, Re-Creating, Coming up with new ideas on how I could make this page better. I have been working hard and hope everyone enjoys my page. I have been trying to find out more, I will keep posting, and I hope you enjoy my page. (^_^)V

To be honest I'm not sure I like the questions and answers method of providing information(that could just be me). Also I believe some of your questions could merge with the sections you have in the guide note. For example, the question on the Wailers may not be needed since you already have a section dedicated to the Wailers.

I'd like to nominate my fantasy baseball page.

This page started out with a little bit of content, but I vastly expanded the information to tell people how to draft, how to keep track of scores, and how to play through the season.

In addition, at the top of the page I frequently update the top players of the year with their statistics for the year.

There are also links to other fantasy baseball sites and places to visit for more information.

DC you certainly do love your baseball :)

I am wondering what you think about shortening the explanation to where it fits nicely into the guide note section of the page. That doesn't mean deleting all that text you wrote, perhaps use the longer explanation as part of the How to Play Fantasy Baseball page that you own?

You have to consider the ones reaching the Fantasy Baseball page and what they will be looking for. I wonder if you'll agree that it will be a combination of people looking for
A) leagues
B) fantasy stats
C) rules and explanations.

Consider building three separate link sections, each one with the best links of A, b and c.

Naturally the 1st link in the rules and explanation section would be a link to your How to Play Fantasy Baseball page.

but now I'm just getting carried away, these are just suggestions. I can see you've put a lot of work into the page and that I like to see, good job DC.

I don't really want to nominate myself. I'm just hoping to get some feedback from all you great people. My page is chihuahua.
I know I've been putting around with my pages. This one was already built but I have been moving stuff around. (having trouble getting flicker pics to stay in thumb nail size grrr!)
I have added to content and information.
I'm also torn on adding maybe a more recent video?
Any feedback would be great, then I can really get moving on the rest of them!

I would like to nominate my page

http://www.mahalo.com/achilles-tendon-tear

What I have done to make it its best

1. Despite having the page for only 13 days, I have worked hard to organize and carefully market the page, generating 126 views and $15.26.

2. I chose a topic that is personal to me and not a random page. I recently ruptured my Achilles tendon and just had surgery. So, I will always keep updating the page and marketing it to help myself gain more info and to help others prevent having to go through the same injury.

3. Presentation:

a. I have a colorful and informative main picture.

b. A concise guide note with links to other pages. Bold and italics when necessary.

c. An informative video at the top with comments and discussions already started.

d. Questions/answers on the left side with on the causes, prevention, and entire surgery and recovery process.

e. Careful choices, such as using Google Products instead of Amazon because it offered better products and had a better look.

f. Colorful videos, pictures, and appropriate sections.

g. Deleted any double images, videos, or links in sections.

h. Clear and concise wording of any written material on my page.

I honestly do hope this page will offer great information to those who are going through an Achilles problems.

VOTE FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi @the_brain!

Your page looks great. However, please keep in mind that we are looking for original content in our Guide Notes and try to discourage simply copying-and-pasting copy from other websites.

If you absolutely must use text from another source, we ask that you put it in quotes and leave a citation so users will know where you retrieved the information from. Citations can be created easily: All you need to do is place the URL of the website from which you retrieved the information between tags. For example, http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/achilles-tendon-rupture/ds00160

Thank you for the suggestion. I actually wrote the guide note after I claimed the page, which was a few days after I joined the site. I wrote it quickly and I did reword from the sources I got the information on but should have put it even more in my own words. I just rewrote it and it actually sounds significantly better. I do however, have a bunch of citations, giving credits to sources on my page.

hey Krusheasy, welcome to Mahalo. with time and love I'm sure you can build the best archive on the net. I have a few concerns about your page, mainly the guide note, was it copy and pasted from elsewhere or is that you're own text? You can learn more here about Copy and Pasting on Mahalo.

I'd also like to let you know that sections on Mahalo do move around based on user clicks if you don't have them pinned down. So you're comment section here doesn't make much sense :D

Thanks for submitting, your page is brand new and probably not ready for this contest, but the subject has major potential, I think it will do real well after some labour is put into it.

I would start with writing out a guide note. Think of the people typing that term into the search, they will be from all over, so the guide note should explain right off the bat what they need to do to find the ones in their area.

Good Luck!
