Mahalo Tasks: They need to be sorted and presented in a shorter form for several reasons. Your thoughts?

Suggestions:
1.) Tabs need to be added for:
a. Rush Week
b. How -to Team Members tasks
c. Pre-approved how-to team member tasks

2.) A simple list format would be useful, so there are not so many pages you have to scroll through.

3.) A search feature would be great as well, to find what you are interested in specifically
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I like some of these suggestions.

The tabs are a recent addition, and have really helped. Staff is still taking suggestions and they are working on ways to make it better. There are a lot of changes going on across Mahalo on a regular basis, and this is one area I expect to see some more changes in soon... just based on the talk I've seen about it.

The tabs you have suggested have been suggested by others recently as well.

I like the list idea... more in a shorter space. We don't really need the avatar of the staff member who posted it, so that would save space.

And some kind of search or even a sort feature would be nice.

I believe they are already working on something for pre-approved tasks, to make that easier for the people to find their tasks. Not sure how close a solution is...

my 2 cents...

A search feature would be more efficient than tabs, I think. That way you could search tasks by keyword, by type, by price, and by user for pre-approved tasks.

I'm a newb here, but I agree, from what I've seen so far.

More than tabs .... some kind of advanced search feature that allows you to sort by current tabs (tipped, unanswered, etc.) and at least topic (categories) and date. One can currently search by tabs OR on the right side by categories. A very basic database query that most non-human search engines have .... :-)

PS Maybe such feature already exists but I don't see any such button/link on Answers page (using Firefox) and I tend not to read user manuals so it might be in one of the How-To pages but I haven't bothered to search. My web design paradigm is that it has to be visible or it won't be used.

Sorry @coltech88 ... in my mind the Tasks/Answers pages look (functionally) alike and equally problematic to finding things.

The simplest design would be tick boxes to have your tab items plus other sort criteria. For example dates could be <24 hours, <48 hours, etc. The average Mahalo user is probably unable to put together a search query.

I am talking about the tasks page specifically. Perhaps some changes in the answers section could also be considered, but at this time, I would like the tasks page organization to be focused on.
