Mahalo sold $250k+ in Amazon product in 2009 without trying. Any ideas to grow this 10x?

Tip for best answer: M$1.35
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

This one is easy enough. Make Amazon revenue shared-revenue with Mahalo users, and they will flock to product-based pages, position Amazon product sections strategically on their products, and even more intensely promote them. As Amazon revenue is now not found interesting (as explicitly mentioned by Mahalo Staff during several tutorials), Mahalo users are not inclined to strategically position the Amazon product sections, and default, they are positioned very non-strategically near the bottom of the page.
Especially game-related pages could benefit extremely from revenue-sharing, as I myself would be very inclined to buy stuff on Amazon VIA Mahalo, and I spend on average $2000 a year there. I expect this applies to many other mahalo users.

So:
1. Shared revenue
2. Better default positioning (Near top)
3. Emphasis on product pages. (Vertical managers!)

Just my 2 ct.

My very own ideas.

Start up pages for the most prolific and popular authors with referral links to their books on Amazon. For example, on the Mahalo page Stephen-King, there are only a few of his books listed, instead of having a complete list. In addition, the books that are listed link to Wikipedia instead of Amazon (or better yet Mahalo pages per book for each book, with an Amazon link there). Furthermore, the links for movies made based on King's books lead to a movies database rather than to Amazon (or Mahalo pages for those movies, with Amazon links to the DVDs and Blu-Rays there).

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I agree with @mithrandir's answer, and believe my suggestion would dove-tail well with his.
