Hey @opher -
That was the typical layout on all the profile member pages before the 2.0 change. That is why you'll only see those on older member pages.
Looks like they disabled it with the 2.0 change, but brought it over in the layout.
I'm not sure if it will be enabled again.
You might want to bring this up at the next tutorial.
I know that Mahalo is working feverishly on the next upgrade that will happen soon.
Maybe if enough people ask for this, they might bring it back.
You can always use the info area on your profile page and list what categories you like to answer.
I know it's not the same, but it would make due for now.
Sorry...

Prior to Mahalo 2.0 (which launched in June '09) profile pages had the option of adding your expertise, which created the list of categories above that box.
Profile pages were modified when 2.0 came out and the option to add categories was removed. So some users are "grandfathered" on this feature. I assume 3.0 comes out the evidence of this feature will be gone OR re-introduced.

On some Mahalo user pages there are categories listed under the "Ask me a question". How do you add that to your member page?
Do you have to be above a certain belt level? Are there other requirements? I'm looking for a step-by-step answer on how to do this, including any requirements.

• Thanks for the response, but especially for the suggestion to bring it up in the weekly tutorial.
