Mahalo gave me $5.00 but I couldn't find it.

I received a welcome email from Mahalo with a code to enter which would give me $5.00. I entered the code but no dollars appeared in my account. Any ideas?
Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

After looking at the database, it shows that you redeemed the coupon and that it was credited to your account. What makes you think it wasn't? (What does it show as your balance in the upper right portion of the screen?)

You can respond privately to finke@mahalo.com if you wish.

OK. Now I see it! I'd been looking at my markbt page where it still shows under "Tips Given": $10.00 (for the one I earned). I figured the $5 would show up somewhere within that area. Thanks very much for your help.

That happened to me too -- the dollar value didn't appear in my account for a couple more minutes, as far as I could tell, but it did appear eventually.

It is possible of course, that you claimed the $5 too late (past an expiration date) to have it credited to your account.

I've forwarded this issue to our development team and they should be able to track down what went wrong with the coupon code. Did it allow you log in fine? That is, did everything else seem normal except that you didn't see the $M5 in your account?

Yes, it allowed me to enter the code fine & I did it within minutes of receiving the email (which checks automatically every five minutes). After a day or two of it not showing, I thought that I'd possibly not entered the code correctly so tried to do it again. The message appeared saying that code had already been used. So I'd say the first time was successful. Thanks for your help.
