It's time for Barnraising #9! Look out for Sporting Events and Athletes!
That's right...Starting today, in addition to your ongoing Coupon Barnraising extravaganza, we're going to begin posting task about upcoming sporting events and athletes. We figured some of you may be getting burned out on coupons and want a break to do something really different...
To get started, look for any tasks labeled BARNRAISING #9. And if you have questions on where to begin, check out our guide to How Mahalo Tasks Works.
Prizes will be handed out when we get to 250 sports tasks. Here are the prizes:
1st Place: M$75
2nd Place: M$60
3rd Place: M$50
4th Place: M$40
5th Place: M$30
6th Place: M$20
7th Place: M$10

The two barnraisings are two separate competitions and the results will be counted separately. We entered 1000 coupon tasks for the coupon barnraising and will enter a total of 250 tasks for the sport barnraising.

I like how multiple Barnraisings are going on at the same time. If someone is currently competiting in the coupons one, they have to decide whether it makes sense to finish off the coupons, or get a good start in the next Barnraising. It provides more chances for people to win, and also prevents someone from dominating every single Barnraising. It's much harder to win Barnraising #8 if you start competiting in #9 instead. I think it forces Mahalo users to make interesting strategic choices in maximizing their use of time for all Barnraising competitions. Good luck to all Mahaloians competing in Barnraising #9!

I like that not only are there multiple barnraisings, they are totally unrelated. I know some people don't like doing the coupon tasks... hopefully they will like the sports.. if not, then I'm sure Mahalo will come up with something else next! Great Job!
