These barnraisings are a great incentive to complete tasks, and it is good to see the contest awards have gone up again. Plus, each task is awarded M$3 this time, so even if you only complete a few tasks, you win!
Nice to see so many enthousiastic Mahaloians joining in the fun. Let's build a barn!
(can someone pass me the hammer please?)

Anyone else find this hard?
I was also wondering; the FF like year; are those for the accessory or the cell phone?

Our lives are practically been run by them. We are at it's beck and call at all times.
Every day there are new innovations added to it's use. Like I said, it will soon be running our lives.
I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing, but nonetheless we are so attached to them now that we cannot do without them.
I love my cell phone.

Barnraising #6 is calling! This week's topic? CELL PHONES
It's barnraising time again. Check out Mahalo Tasks to start claiming pages about cell phones and cell phone accessories.
And as a special added incentive to work on these Tasks, you will now AUTOMATICALLY be made the managers of the pages you complete during the contest. This means, if you make a good page on a cell phone, you'll keep on earning 50% of the revenue on that page as its manager, provided you help us keep it fresh and up to date. (Make sure to check out our guide to How to Manage a Page after you submit your tasks!)
The users who make the MOST cell phone pages by the time we hit 300 win one of the following FABULOUS prizes!
First Prize: M$100
Second Prize: M$80
Third Prize: M$60
Fourth Prize: M$40
Fifth Prize: M$20
Sixth Prize: M$10
Check out Mahalo Barnraising Contests for more information about how it all works, and good luck, everyone!

So those pages are assigned to whoever completes that task?

yes, they are. and it has been my experience that staff knows what they are doing with the tasks they choose to create. in looking at different pages that were originally tasks quite a few are earning... some that people did not even claim. mahalo_tasks is still the page manager. that's one reason i'm glad they automatically assign them now. some people are missing out on revenue they could have had.

Does anyone have some helpful tips on where to find information for this batch? I claimed one earlier about Blackberry SD cards (something like that), i searched everywhere and couldn't find the appropriate information and ended up abandoning it... reviews were especially difficult because there are so many non-branded products out there. Anyone else find this hard?
I was also wondering; the FF like year; are those for the accessory or the cell phone?

I think you had bad luck with that one. I checked the blackberry accessory list, and there is no such thing as a blackberry SD card. RIM has approved Sandisk SD cards.
So for that product, the page title is actually not accurate, but you could have completed the task for either Generic or Sandisk DS cards, I think.
I fill out the FF for the accessory, not for the cell phone. I put the cell phone in the related pages.

most of these page names are not for a specific product, but rather product line that will work with that model phone. for example, antennas and signal boosters are not necessarily phone specific and many will work with just about any phone.
i think the idea is to give them a destination when they are looking for a specific product line that will work with a specific phone model.
and sometimes, there is just no information for a specific fast fact... so if it does not apply, just click n/a. the qc team will send it back to you if they think you can find the information... but that n/a is there for a reason, and sometimes it is necessary. =)

that wasn't the exact name of it... I can't remember exactly, but it was something like Blackberry 88xx Micro SD ..... but don't quote me on that.
Either way, I was still having trouble find info on the product, much less the product itself.
Oh well, I guess I'll just wait for the next round!

Weird, I was just thinking about doing some cell phone pages a couple of days ago. Is Mahalo reading my thoughts?

The cell phone has become like the computer one of the leading innovations of the twentieth and twenty first centurys. It has become like a body part, we cannot leave the house without it. We are compelled to use it and answer it as soon as it rings. Our lives are practically been run by them. We are at it's beck and call at all times.

oh, i hope no one is too discouraged because they don't already know about the subject!
if you start with the links they gave you and do a little product description reading it can really help. you can also google the subject.
i didn't even know they had tattoos for the blackberry before this contest, but now i know there is more than one kind!
for anyone who is a little stuck, i recommend you go look at some of the tasks that have been approved already to get an idea of what you can do.
these cell phone tasks are pretty easy once you know what angle to come at them from. took me a little bit too. the first one was the hardest. =)
and if one just really stumps you, try a different one...there are still plenty!
