Barnraising #4 Leaderboard: August 3, 2009

Less than 1 full day into our latest barnraising contest, and we're already almost 1/3 of the way there. You guys are amazing! I'm particularly pleased to see Barnraising veterans competing alongside some newcomers. A great mix of fresh perspectives and wizened experience. We wish you all the very best of luck.

Here are the standings as of 11 pm PST on August 3. Bear in mind, we're still accepting a few pages that were done today, so these numbers will only be accurate for a few hours. Another leaderboard with updated standings will be posted tomorrow evening:

First Place: @Mithrandir, 9 Tasks
Second Place: @Bestpay, 8 Tasks
Third Place: @Ninakat, 5 Tasks
Fourth Place: @DCAnswerer, 4 Tasks
Fifth Place: @Wook, 2 Tasks

Thanks, as well, to other competitors who have had entries accepted:

@Robee, @qdietz, @dnatureofdtrain and @ellekitty

Wow, didn't expect to be first after this first day of the competition, but there really seems to be a lot of great competition out there, and the race is far from over! Well done so far everyone!

The latest batch of tasks is very interesting, with many general genre pages (like the MMORPG page I just completed). They take a bit more time to complete, but will definitely be on my list to be managed.

Also I found some new flash-games I will enjoy to play, and re-discovered some old gems that I forgot about (The Tower Defense ones for instance). As I really am a game-addict, I truely love this barnraiser. Maybe we'll have a non-free games contest in the future?

Tip to mahalo: Many flash games allow the game to be hosted away from its original location. Maybe Mahalo could place it on their pages? That would really be added value!

Mithrandir, you've read our minds. We're going to have some of our staff members go through after the contest and start adding the games to these pages. Should make the pages themselves way more compelling and keep users hanging around on them for more time!

Well i'm really pleased that i'm in second place after day 1, there looks like plenty of stiff competition out there!

I can't believe we're almost one third of the way through already!

I'm enjoying this particular barnraising event but not as much as coupons. I like writing up the details about the games and have enjoyed playing them to familiarize myself with the gaming experience/instructions.

I doubt I will keep many of the pages as I don't think personally most of the ones i've created wil be big earners. Most of the pages i've done seem to be from relatively small software providers who are niche suppliers. I will manage a few though just for some personal interest.

I'd encourage anybody who hasn't completed a task yet to try, the leader is only on 9 tasks and that can be caught up surely?

They're great these barnraisers, looking forward to completing a few more tasks throughout the day.

Over and out from @bestpay
