#Orange gets my vote. The answers on his question were especially superb. The recipes listed are ones I plan on trying eventually.
I could go for some Chicken and Dumplings at the moment.
http://www.pillsbury.com/images/recipes/beautyshots/r15465fp.jpg
* 1/4 cup olive oil
* 4 chicken thighs, bone in (or 4 bone-in or boneless chicken breasts)
* 2 medium onions, diced
* 2 cups diced carrots
* 2 cups diced celery
* 1 cup dry white wine
* 1/2 tablespoon salt (plus more to taste)
* 1/2 tablespoon fresh ground pepper (plus more to taste)
* 6 cups chicken stock
* 4 frozen biscuits (such as Pillsbury Grands! Frozen Biscuits), thawed enough to cut into pieces, can be subbed with handmade Bisquick dumplings
Preparation
1. Pat the chicken dry and season with salt and pepper. Heat half of the olive oil (1/8 cup) in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken, turning the pieces so that all sides are slightly brown, about 3 to 4 minutes for each side. Remove the chicken pieces and place on a paper towel-lined plate.
2. Add the remaining 1/8 cup of olive oil to the pot, along with the onions. Saute the onions until they're soft, about 6 minutes. Add the carrots, celery, and white wine. Scrape up any brown bits from the bottom of the pot. Saute, stirring frequently, for another 6 minutes.
3. Add the chicken back to the pot. Cover the meat and vegetables with chicken stock. Bring to a boil.
4. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, partially covered, for 90 minutes. (This step is especially flexible. If your liquid is reducing too much, you may need to add more chicken stock. If the dish is too liquidy, turn up the heat and to reduce the stock more. The idea is to end up with a consistency of a very thick stew.) If the broth is not as thick as you would like, remove one cup of the broth into a measuring cup and whisk in 1 tablespoon of corn starch. Return the broth to the pot and stir.
5. Remove chicken pieces with tongs and allow them to cool. Debone the chicken and shred the meat into small pieces. Return to the pot.
6. Cut the frozen biscuits into thirds. Drop the pieces onto the top of the chicken and vegetable mixture. Cover and cook on medium-low heat for 8-10 minutes, until the dumplings are cooked through. Serve immediately.

There is nothing more tasty than an avacado.
Historically avocados had a long-standing stigma as a sexual stimulant and were not purchased or consumed by any person wishing to preserve a chaste image.

I agree with @philipy, the grasshopper question should be on the list
One of my favorite foods is Empanadas, here is the recipe:
Argentine Empanadas Recipe
Ingredients:
***Crust:***
1 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
4 ounces stick butter or margarine
1/3 cup milk
***Filling:***
1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons Vegetable oil, olive preferred
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 red bell pepper, seeds and stem removed, finely chopped
2 jalapeno chiles, seeds and stems removed, minced
1 medium potato, peeled, boiled, finely chopped
2 hard cooked eggs, finely chopped
10 green olives, finely chopped
2 tablespoons raisins
1 tablespoon ground mild paprika
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or substitute dried
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
***Glaze:***
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon milk
Directions:
To make the crust, sift the dry ingredients into a bowl. Work the margarine or butter into the flour using your fingers or two forks. Add the milk and mix just until the dough comes together and can be formed easily into a ball. Refrigerate for at least an hour. Saute the beef in a skillet until well done, stirring frequently with a fork to keep the meat broken-up. In a separate skillet, saute the onion, bell pepper, and jalapenos until the onions are a golden brown.
Combine all the remaining ingredients for the filling and nix well. Preheat the oven to 400degrees F. Divide the dough in two and roll out to a thickness of 1/8-inch and cut into circles 7" in diameter. Spoon the filling onto one half of each leaving room to fold in half and seal. Press the edges with the tip of a fork and cut a 1" slice in the top. Place on an ungreased baking pan. Combine the ingredients for the glaze. Bake for 10 minutes. Reduce the heat to 350 and continue baking until the crust turns light brown. Brush the tops with glaze and bake for an additional 5 minutes.

Just letting you know why we don't include their interesting questions is all... didn't want it to seem like we were overlooking any questions... I know that this past week I could have had at least 1 or 2 or maybe even 3 Mahalo employee questions per day.
While it does seem like somewhat of an "oversight", I sort of like how the Mahalo sponsored M$10 goes to a user every day... but that's just me ... so far we've given away almost M$200. Crazy.

Again, like I said to @phillipy - Mahalo staff members are not being chosen as @robbrown and myself feel it is unfair on all you Mahalo members to choose people like @jasoncalacanis, @jeffhoard, @lon, @lesliec etc...

@cjd and I have been asked to exclude Mahalo Answers employee questions from the QotD nominations so that the QotD game is fair.
That being said, the Mahalo folks sure have had some interesting questions the past little while!
