Mahalo skips Valentine's Day to avoid the pain and heartbreak. That feeling...of being heartless
And time travel. Something really bad happens in February, and someone is coming back in time to save us!

Absolutely Not
What is the penalty for this?
Penalty: Everyone who is a purple belt or higher by the end of the Superbowl should get M$10 added to their earnings!
Any ideas on why Mahalo wants to skip February this year?
They wanted us to think forward, maybe it has something to do with February being the oddest numbered month of the year! They were upset it wasn't a leap year, or they wanted to skip Valentine's Day and President's Day. They got tired about hearing about Groundhog's Day, so they figured they would skip them all together and provide us with an early April Fool's joke.

Maybe we could all go on a one-month strike! For every month that they eliminate, we will not participate for a month! March Mahalo Madness!

Why is Mahalo skipping February? (See details inside)
For some of us, it appears that Mahalo is planning to skip February all together:

First, I'm not sue that they can do this. Perhaps Mahalo has decided to do their own thing on their own time frame--literally. Perhaps someone at Mahalo had a really bad experience in February and wants to skip it this year. I can understand that, I've been there. One February I had a kidney stone, my grandmother died, I lost my job and had a brother (falsely) diagnosed with cancer. Still, I don't blame the month.
Do you thik Mahalo should be able to skip a month? What is the penalty for this? Any ideas on why Mahalo wants to skip February this year?

Apparently they're introducing the Mahaloan calendar after being unhappy with both the Julian and Gregorian calendars. It'll all be a little confusing at first, but once you remember that each day has 27 hours and there are 337 days in a year (389 on leap years) things get a little simpler...

I think the answer is obvious. Someone does not want to go through yet another painful Valentine's day alone in this world.Seeing every other girl get flowers, every other guy with a woman at his shoulder, and everyone going out to dinner. Meanwhile we're just sitting in front of the computer eating chips and logged on to Mahalo Answers.

I'm all for Mahalo skipping a month if they want... but they have to pick a different month because February is much to important to skip!! (My birthday happens to be Feb. 23rd so I am just slightly partial to this month... though I would be willing to skip it IF the penalty for Mahalo resulted in making it up to me with LOTS of gifts)

How about this... if Mahalo skips February, you get to skip your mid-life crisis... How's that?

I think it is too late for that... I've already purchased the little sports car, big screen TV, started adjusting for the gray hair... why couldn't they have started skipping a couple years ago?

Feb is the s--tty month of the year, when you run your own website why do people think that linux commrade crap should come into play. Feb has only Valentine's Day and it is a lack luster month in all industries.. Typical people hire during May - Nov and they leverage other months as holidays or post Q results.

I'm not sure how you could penalize Mahalo for skipping a month (also, does anyone really think that this could be intentional?)Maybe we could all go on a one-month strike! For every month that they eliminate, we will not participate for a month! March Mahalo Madness!
