For a picture:
You will need to upload it to a website. If it is already uploaded, then click on the picture, right click and select, "copy image location." Then go back to the answer, click on the white space and paste. For example, I Googled the word sign in image. I'm clicking on the first pic, selecting "copy image location" and now I'm going to paste in below this;
http://www.nws.noaa.gov/os/water/tadd/images/turnDrownWarningSign.jpg
Video: I usually use YouTube. I get my video up. Below the video on the right side I see how many views it has had. Below that I see a link that says "
(more share options)". I click on this link and a dialogue box comes up that says, "Copy and paste this link into an email or instant message:" Below that is a url listed. I left click on the url so that it is painted, and then right click to bring up my menu box. Now I click on "copy" Now I go back to my answer and in the white space I paste.
I went to google video and entered Mahalo. I found a video. I clicked on the video and then clicked again until it was full. Then I clicked on "more share options" then "Copy and paste this link into an email or instant message" then I painted the url, right clicked to bring up my menu box, clicked "copy"and now I am pasting it into my answer.

Take the photo or video you want to place on Mahalo, and upload it to an image-hosting site like imageshack.us. The site then gives an URL. Place it in the image or video text box, and submit. You're done! If you want upload multimedia for Mahalo tasks, you should just take the URL of the thing and paste it with your submission text.
