1. I'd like to be able to bookmark or mark a question as a favorite in order to come back to it later. Sometimes there are questions I'd like to know the answer to as well, so it would be nice to be able to mark those questions in order to come back to them later.
2. How about a monthly contest for best created page where you can earn points and/or tips, and the best page gets featured on the Mahalo.com front page.

Page loading time. Myself and some other users have mentioned that the site is slow compared to others. I have a theory that it may be related to Google analytics and/or ads. When there is a delay in page loading, I notice it usually says one of these things at the bottom of the web browser. It would be so much easier to navigate the site if it were not for the delays.
The other improvement would just be to continue fixing the current bugs. Many have been fixed which is nice, but there are still some more out there.

At any given time I can't remember when I updated each page last so I'm in a constant state of concern that I'm about to lose a page.
2. Take the "Most Popular" questions off the top section of the home page (as in, don't give them preference).
Give them either a separate tab and/or a sidebar box. They force a lot more clicking and scrolling to get to the new stuff, and make me turn into the Hulk in the process.

(PS - Dear Mahalo PTB, I'd also accept a fix on the lack of emails, a clear listing of where my Mahalo $s are coming and going, and of course a fix to that pesky little site bug that says I've claimed more pages than I have!)

A better way to talk directly with users.
Right now, we can ask each other individual questions, but there is no efficient way to talk back-and-forth. There are a bunch of problems with direct questions and I think it would grease the wheels of the community if we could communicate easier.
In a perfect (wicked awesome) world, we would have a communication bar on the bottom just like facebook. Real-time chat with our friends, direct messages, notifications, the whole 9 yards. Wouldn't that be great?

List 2 future improvements you'd like to see added to Mahalo that will heighten your experience and that of others when using the site?
I think it's a great site, already but there's always room for improvement, right?
I've seen lots of posts with suggestions but I thought it would be good to get as many as possible all encapsulated in one post.
No doubt Mahalo's developers have a list as long as your arm and leg but I thought this post might still help.
To encourage people i've added a $2 bounty.
I'll add my suggestions later once a few people have hopefully responded.

Maybe a better term than "one click" would be "same page" submissions, like the comment feature.
The fact that an answer space already exists where you can type in your answer is misleading in the sense that it just takes you to another page where you have to submit again.
If I click Answer it takes me to the submission page but without anyone else's comments. I like being able to see and reference other peoples answers while I work.

1. Currently, the system that would automatically take your page away has not been implemented, I don't think it will be until there is a way to display when your page was last updated. My suggestion looked like this.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/33749589@N07/3598210817/
2. It appears they are testing out new Answers Front Page versions. To defeat the staleness we are putting 24hr limits on the "most interesting" questions that get bumped to the top. That was literally just implemented, so we'll see how it works out.
3. Lack of emails... send us an email at contact@mahalo.com so we can deal with it individually- these seem to be individual issues as it does effect everybody.
4. Clear listing of tips, that is already listed in your profile.

In any event, this is just what we need. And thanks for the heads' up about not sweating the page expirations for right now.
2. I'm skeptical, but I'll keep an open mind. ;)
3. Thanks, I'll email shortly. Appreciate the help.
4. D'oh! How have I been missing that all along? Don't I feel like a dope? :)

The main improvement needed to make Mahalo answers better is the ability to customize one's main page either by filtering out sources or subjects or by selecting subjects or tags. Mahalo answers also needs a lot more color belts and to get away from the martial arts analogy (which combines being ridiculous with being pretentious).
But I'd be a little happier if they just got rid of twitter.

A single page with links to every training page. A time stamp that lets us know when we last updated a page we have claimed. I would also like to be able to save a partially finished task..... as life happens and on occasion have not been able to finish at one sitting. I wish there was away for people who worked in the Greenhouse for a year or so.... could be given more privileges... I can't believe some of the stupid questions I have answered in an attempt to get where I am... which is not even close to the privileges I had in developing whole pages in the Greenhouse. I can understand when people are new that they need to learn the ropes.... we learned those ropes in the Greenhouse... and yes somethings have changed BUT a lot hasn't. There should be some perks involved with helping Mahalo get to where it is now.... but there is not... I know some people who wont come back... people with a great deal of experience that are frustrated by starting from scratch again. Loyalty... it is an important word. Oh well, my 2 cents.

I think it would be great if we could have some kind of filter for belts or for the task that we can do (regarding the color of our belt)
Also, as many of you guys previously said, a way to send private messages without having to use the "ask a question" option.

Also, another suggestion that I would make is better searching functionality on the Mahalo.com page. For example, I want to see every page that has been created related to the iPhone, so I type in "iphone" in the search box, but it just takes me to the page titled "iPhone" instead of providing me with links to each of the pages that have been created about iPhones. This makes it difficult when you're trying to see what pages have already been created so that you don't make a duplicate. Very frustrating.
