I think it's only fair that these questions go through the same voting system as all of the previous ones.
There aren't enough staff for the voting to be sufficiently random, I would say. When the community votes on the undecided questions, a different variety of users are voting on a variety of questions. That makes it very, very fair!
Finally, your suggestion for these questions to be placed under a tab of their own would be something that would take a long time to set up - that, I'm afraid, isn't something I would imagine the staff would even consider. Especially when they're already working to release the new Mahalo this month.
They will be cleared from the system in due time, don't worry ;)

Seriously get out and vote for the best answers and then they'll be done.
HOWEVER
Don't vote for an answer just because its the only one there. It has to answer the question and be of "best answer" quality. So if it isn't vote for NO BEST ANSWER.

Answered Question

Mahalo is adding a tip to all questions that don't offer a tip.
Is there a way to get quicker voting on the old questions being answered in the Mahalo Spring Cleaning in November?
Perhaps there's a way to either open a special tab for them so the members doing this service work can also vote on the newly-answered old questions, or else have staff vote on them. This way we can clear these questions not just from the unanswered area, but also from the undecided area.

That's a positive suggestion, however, for good reason, we cannot vote for our own question, so I can help others get their questions judged, but not myself. Oh well. I guess we can simply split our "service time" between answering/reporting old questions, and voting on them. If we all do that, everything will work out fine.

I normally just take a quick blast down the undecided questions and vote till I hit my limit... the more people that vote the better.

I'm not asking to get extra tips, or extra points, or to get more Best Answer voted on my particular answers, just a bit higher likelihood that these ancient questions will get voted on. Otherwise the likelihood is that they will not be voted on for a long time, since they're so old.
We all have to be patient and you're not the only one working on clearing out old questions. Lots of us are working hard on this and we know that when we answer an old question, it will go into voting VERY soon after and then it is only in the undecided tab for a few days before best answer (or NBA) is chosen.
Patience is a virtue, please have patience and work hard on your answers so you get loads of best answers flooding in within a few days ;)
