Another great idea @briansan. The searching for content related questions would be greatly improved with another fine tuning tool like a "user+content" search available.
If you keep having these great ideas and eventually they are implemented, searching your profile we would find the creation of a new Mahalo... Mahalo9.0.

Keep up the great work.

Yeah I think that would be a nice feature to be able to search for post bu user name. Right now you can click on their profile to see their recent posts, but a search function would help find older posts.

I think that would be a great idea and also have a section that tells you which friends or fans are online. This way we can get or give answers more quickly.

Good suggestion, and it might be something you might want to contact Mahalo about. Try reaching out to them at contact@mahalo.com.

You can do a search like this on Google.

site:mahalo.com (add username here) + (topic of search here)
tags: mahalo, search

I've always thought that this would be useful. Once someone asked a question and I tried to find an answer that nushka had given about the same subject. It was impossible. I couldn't even find nushka.

You can already search by username, can't you? I know it's not username+keyword, and that's what you meant, but I did just type in "brian san" and results came up.

Currently, it will currently find any questions where the user name is in the text, but not where the user asked, answered or commented on the question.

Very helpful idea! I know we have all had situations when we have been searching for a post by a particular person, but can't quite remember what the precise subject of the post was...

This nifty little feature would definitely alleviate some search stress.

:)

That's a great suggestion. I'm in-house at Mahalo right now and will suggest that to the development team. You might see a stronger search feature in future implementations of the site.
