I try to do this 10-25 times a day.
We really need folks to help with this so we can find the best questions of the day AND so we can rerank the homepage.
In a new version coming soon we will have five of the most interesting questions on the home page between the two current sections (paid and mahalo tipped questions). That should make the home page super cool.... paid questions, followed by most interesting, followed by newest unpaid.

Questions that I find interesting are the ones that get my attention for some reason, that make me stop and think, regardless of whether I'm going to answer them or not.
It can even be a question that I can't answer at all, but the subject matter is of interest to me. Some questions are intriguing, puzzling, and interesting precisely because they leave me clueless.
Also, good answers can make a question an interesting one, for they sometimes reveal an aspect of question that I may have otherwise overlooked.

I do sometimes read questions that I can't answer but still find interesting, and I usually remember to mark them.

I'm never quite sure what the purpose of marking things interesting is. If I looked at it, answered it, or commented on it, I must've found it interesting to some degree no? And if it's not my thing, I'm not going to go opening up the question just so I can mark it uninteresting.
I also hardly ever sort questions by interesting-ness. The few times I've tried it, it only throws up questions I've already seen via other means, like Spy or highest tips.

How often do you mark a question as "Interesting"?
A legit question, but also a shameless plug for the "Interesting" vote option. Don't forget to mark interesting questions when you see them :D

I mark questions interesting if I find them interesting (obviously), but I also mark them interesting if it's a question I might have asked. There was one this morning about gardening that I marked interesting because I'm about to start growing a garden with my mom and got a lot of helpful ideas from it.

I'm like this too, a question really has to hit me where it hurts (my brain just for clarification, I'm under a lot of stress at home, but that's none of your concern)
I don't just give out interesting votes to try and sweeten the Asker into picking me as Best Answer, like some people do.

I don't know the number, or percentage, but I do it fairly often, and more so with time. On the other hand, I hardly ever mark a question "not interesting", did it perhaps two or three times in little over 10 weeks that I'm here. Questions that I find interesting are the ones that get my attention for some reason, that make me stop and think, regardless of whether I'm going to answer them or not.

Probably not as often as I should. I try to remember when I'm answering it that that means it's interesting and I ought to mark it as such. I mean, I'm not spending time answering questions I find uninteresting, LOL! I do sometimes read questions that I can't answer but still find interesting, and I usually remember to mark them.

I hardly ever mark questions interesting. In fact, I'm not sure if I've ever done it! I'm never quite sure what the purpose of marking things interesting is. If I looked at it, answered it, or commented on it, I must've found it interesting to some degree no? And if it's not my thing, I'm not going to go opening up the question just so I can mark it uninteresting.

I very rarely mark questions as interesting. I only do it when I read the question and then realize that I also would like to know the answer. I have only marked one or two questions as interesting since I signed up. I have never marked a question as uninteresting. (I think)
