How can you say thank you to so many people who have touched you in such a profound way? I am so grateful to all of you, for helping me now. This was a eye opener to me, and let me tell you this mild heart attack felt anything but mild.

Pain in left arm began around elbow kinda mild and quickly went like a hot poker (fire) up my arm and across to my chest. Cold sweats soaked my entire head of hair within a minute or two, and My hair goes mid way to my back. heart was aching big time, and felt as if it would leap out of my chest, my lungs could not get enough air. I was dizzy as i have ever been and it was hard to stand up and walk to the bathroom as it felt like I was going to vomit, went I got into the bathroom it came out both ends. The pain was the worst I have ever felt and I have had 3 c-sections in my life..this heart attack pain made the c-section pain seem like so little. I told my mom if this is what a mild heart attack feels like than I will do every thing in my power to prevent it.

I had my last cigarette 51 hours ago I had just snubbed it out before I got the first pain. It was not only cigarettes that did this, and I am on a low salt low fat diet. I am allowed to have 65 grams of sodium a day. trust me that is not much. I will stick with these changes for my children, grandchildren, myself.

Thank you
Amy and sons Alex and Timmy along with daughter Amber.

"I am allowed to have 65 grams of sodium a day."

is this a typo? recommended daily quantity is only about 2400mg (2.4grams).

I wish her the best, I tipped her and I have a question. What is her favorite charity? I have a few million saved up in Save the Planet, while this virtual donation can't be given to her directly, I can still donate to something that will make her smile.

I'm sorry to hear that, send my best to Amy next time you speak to her. Perhaps a great way the community here can help would be for us to encourage Mahaloians to team tip this post, then just choose my answer here as "best answer" and I'll forward the final amount back to Amy.

Disclosure: Idea came up after the first few people, including myself added our team tip - there is no way to alter your team tip but you can still help out @amybrowne by sending a DQ from her profile.

I went to a answer of her and tipped her.How strange I saw her at top member box somedays ago but she is now hospital.I am very sad for her.

I love to work as freelancer like her. I also can feel her situation because my mom also like her. I am only son and relative of my mom.

I am feeling so sad for her. Hoping we will get her back very soon.Sorry for my late response to her because when I first saw this question on homepage of mahalo, I saw a huge amount tips so I thought it might be a hard question. A misunderstanding. Sorry.

If I not launch my site just next month, I would tip her my all.

I have a propose to mahalo.com that, we love community like a family. So please please keep this question on homepage of mahalo for some days long if it really possible in technically.

Thanks all again especially @michelleld...I am really happy now to see that community.I love it.Keep it continue.

I am praying God for a quick recovery of AmyBrowne as well as she stays away from further heart attacks. @amybrowne is a nice member of the Mahalo community. Hoping to see AmyBrown back in the community.

Come on people ... Mahalo Answers Community is like a family. Don't you give a support to a family member when he/she is in need ? Team Tip this question to keep this question in the front page of Mahalo Answers for another few days and help another fellow Mahaloian.

Thank you @michelleldevon for bringing this into our notice !

Feel better Amy.... we're all rooting for you!

On a side note, it's amazing that you're all doing this for Amy--really inspiring. We started Mahalo Dollars as a rewards program like American Express Points or airline miles. Never thought when we started this would become a primary or secondary source of income for some people.... let alone a way to do fund raising!

I don't know Amy at all, but I will happily throw in a few bucks to help her out at this time.

What I am conscious of is that a few bucks don't go far in this kind of situation, not even a few bucks each from all of us.

That is why poltiics is important, and healthcare reform is important. As well as sending a few bucks, you might want to consider what you can do do contribute towards systemtic change so people don't find themselves in these situations. Could be as simple as writing your local elected representatives.

You don't even need to be pro any particular policy or political position, just pro the fact that people like Amy should have decent care and support through a situation like this, however that goal is achieved.

My best wishes are with her. :)

It's really great all the love and support being shown here. It shows that Mahalo is really a community and not just a question and answer site.

Thanks also goes to the Mahalo staff for allowing the question.

Well, I don't pray, I'm not a religious man. But I think no matter what your belief is, you can just spend the next minute wishing this stranger good luck and a speedy recovery. They say good vibes help, right? Maybe if we put a bit of e-positivity towards Amy, it'll make a bit of difference. Sometimes help is just being there, in whatever way one can.

I only have 6 M$ on my account, but I'm going to donate to her anyway. Every bit counts. Wish I could afford more but I'm just some guy from South America with very limited income. I hope that the thought and what measly donation I can muster will help in some way.

Get well soon, Amy.

As I said, pray if your pray and send positive thoughts if you don't - the more positive energy around something or someone the better!

As for the amount... it's the generosity of spirit and not the $$ that really make the difference. If 10,000 people all give only 1 dollar, that's 10,000 dollars. Look at the good we've done here... you were part of that!

It is so wonderful to see people coming together to help Amy.

I'll tell you a bit about her. Amy will go out of her way to help writers. When she first asked our board to join Mahalo, she answered questions, posted helpful hints and offered to go on IM to walk people through the system.

When people were struggling with page views for another site she writes for, she offered to take a look at their articles and help rewrite them to show how SEO works so they could get more page views.

She did this all for free, despite it taking time out of her day of trying to make a living.

She is an amazing person as are all of you for helping her.

I hope she feels better soon.

Heart and blood medication is expensive. Even if this doesn't take a huge dent out of a medical related bill, hopefully it will buy her kids a couple of Christmas presents.

It's nice to see folks putting up some big tips.

75 My Prayers and thoughts are with her for sure, and I am Channeling healing energy her way!

A Hospital stay is about $1000 a night at our local area hospital (overheard a relative talking about his)... and 50$ an x-ray.. a night in the bed..

I am not sure about the price for heart procedures but I know the x-rays part cause I do not have insurance myself... Ya know it would not be a bad idea to start a donations section for mahalo members to help out mahalo members on the board! ... This is an awesome, awesome idea!. My Prayers and thoughts are with you... in your cause to help Amy as well.
