M¢25 Funded By Mahalo ? |

For a brief period, Mahalo experimented with putting a M$2 tip on all untipped questions. However, this period has now ended, and the automatic tip has now reverted back to M$1. Occasionally, you will see easy to answer or silly questions demoted to M$0.25.
So, the first question fell into this experimental phase and the second did not.

The default is a dollar, however, if Mahalo admins don't feel that a question is worth that (involves little to no research at all or aren't relevant to current events) they will knock it down to 25 cents. This is to discourage question spammers and answerers that just want to make a quick mahalo buck.
