One of the best things so far this week for me, was winning the swag on the tutorial with Lon today!
What makes it even better, was that I got to pay it forward since I've already been honored with a Mahalo goodie box.
My good friend here Mr. Buddawiggi has had a pretty stressful month and is in process of a historical and special move in his life.
I thought it only fair to give him a Mahalo house warming!
*please note - picture is from Bud's previous move.

I know its not a big deal to some but I look at it like this.
If I get double the views then I hopefully get double the buisness.
So basically double the income. ;)
Hopefully it will be a better year.

1 - getting the #Mahalo IRC chat channel to work on my system
2 - Saving $100 towards my "fix Max's car fund".
3 - Getting a commercial edited and approved at work without a bunch of tweaks / revisions.
The bad parts have been the arthritis acting up in my foot and knee (remnants of the car accident), causing a lack of sleep, and a generally "grumpy".

Then he told me how in S.Korea they'd recently banned all advertising using Chinese or Japanese symbols or scripts, while at the same time launching a national program where all S.Koreans are now required to start learning english from the first grade and they must continue to study it as a compulsory for all of the school years, such that there will be two, and only two, official langguages in S.Korea, namely Korean and English.
He said the reason is because they've been pinched between Japan and China so many times that, what with China getting strong again, they want to draw some lines once and for all to distinguish themselves from China and Japan and to line up to make a definative and unambiguous statement and expression of alliegance about who's side they're on who happens to be in the west and speaks english and who has enough clout to balance out either or both of those two historical enemies of Korea.
So... I learned something about current events in S.Korea, and I thought that was good.

Please watch the video starting at the 4 minute mark, as you will see me appear and I am beaming with happiness! (click on the link below the video to start the playback there) I did not win the contest, but it was quite an experience, with the cheering crowds, and being the center of attention. I did get that very nice aloha shirt that you see me modeling. Quite a departure from my start in life as a physics major! I never thought I'd do this!

Make sure you watch the audience reaction. There is a gal in the front row that starts to laugh when I flex my muscles, around 4m18s. Too bad music was overdubbed on the posted video, which drowns out the audience reaction.
And just a couple of seconds ago, I got an email saying: "What a bod!" Ha ha!
Cheers! And thanks for allowing me to share this.

Max, I think that you should create a Mahalo Topic Page or two.
I would love to know some video creation / engineering pro-tips.
If the management, updating or time commitment parts of page management are hanging you up, I'm happy to help (pro bono) you with these things.
It really would be great to have even a couple of pro video tutorials kickin' around.

Yeah, not just the memo style "tips"... but if you were to compose a page on the best way to inexpensively produce a video for online viewing, that would likely do well and be really interesting.
I'm sure there are a bunch of professional things (of which I have no idea about) that would make for interesting tutorial like pages.

I stopped a fight between a Taiwanese and a Japanese, and a S.Korean stander-by liked the way I did it so much that I got offered a job in Soel, which I respectfully declined, so instead we went to a pub and he bought all the drinks while telling me stories about issues the Koreans have had with *both* Chinese (in his mind a Taiwanese is just another Chinaman) and Japanese.

My High school graduating class (1977) all turn 50 this year, so we threw ourselves a 5oth birthday party. I saw several friends that I haven't seen in decades. It was a great time. While at the party, I watched CMU beat MSU, and UofM beat ND. It doesn't get any better than that.

Id like to think something even better will happen, so heres hoping and waiting in anticipation.

Keep your head up Rishiku. Don't forget to exercise. You'd be shocked at how many doctors prescribe exercise rather than drugs for depression.

Now I have finished with his project....he sent me an appreciation keeping my boss in the loop. I was over the moon as I was praised by my boss and by my colleagues.
