I have a page called Seasons MMORPG, which is actually pretty cool, as it has a multiplayer flash game on the page. With Analytics, I found out that many visitors landed on my page after searching for Sacred-Seasons-Cheats|Sacred Seasons Cheats. So, yesterday I created a new page with that topic, with related page “Sacred Seasons MMORPG”, and links to cheat-sites that list cheats for that game. That new page is now my #1 traffic generating page.
I am eagerly awaiting the financial results later today :)

My forum has a near zero bounce rate and my Unsent Letters has a bounce rate around 20%.
Seeing a bounce rate so high means people aren't staying on the site, their not clicking links, etc. It's gotten me to thinking about ways I can entice people to stay on the site, perhaps click more links.

What have you learned so far from Google Analytics on your Mahalo pages, and how will you use that info?
I'm very interested to know what things people are learning, and even more in ideas on how to use that knowledge to improve results.
So far some of the random things I've learned are...
- Only half the visitors to my pages are from the US. But they're mostly too widely scattered otherwise to really target any content towards any other specfic country.
- Some of my pages do surprisingly well on Bing and Yahoo, while not so on Google. Who'da thunk Penelope Cruz would rank highly on Bing for no apparent reason.
- Visitors to my Roger Federer page are possibly more interested in his girlfriend than his tennis. (Sorry people, they actually got married and had twins this summer!)

The number one thing I've noticed is that my bounce rate is 87.8% - that is NOT good. Sites should work to get their bounce rate down below 50%.

Does it mean they're not clicking off-site links?
I think you have to take into account the nature of the site. Obvioulsy on a forum or a blog, people are more likely to get engaged. For a Mahalo page, they're looking for specific info most likely, and they'll quickly decide if the page has what they want or not.#
I wouldn't expect people to stay and look around Mahalo any more than I stay and look around Wikipedia. Esp if the article actually nailed the question I wanted answered, and there was no need to look at any other!

True, BUT... we earn revenue from them clicking on ads, and if they don't do that, we and Mahalo don't really make money. While we do earn a little bit from just page views (good traffic earning pages can earn per impression, not just click) if we aren't enticing them to click links then we aren't making money, even if we do have a quality page.
So I guess it's all about what you're doing Mahalo for. While I like to inform people and all that, I am here for the money.

Yes, but there is a difference between people clicking on an ad and finding your site so fascinating that they want to read lots of pages.
The two don't necessarily go together at all.
To take some extreme examples... I've participated heavily in forums about a favorite TV show, but never clicked an ad. Why? I don't go there to find out about products, I already know full well how to get any products related to the show if I happened to be interested. I just go to the site to have fun and chat with friends.
On the other hand someone that Googled "XYZ Coupons" is probably not going to read a ton of other stuff, but is quite likely to click an ad.
Or to get specific with my Mahalo pages....
Grand Theft Auto 4 Side Missions - bounce rate 33%, earnings zilch.
PS3 Hacks - bounce rate 80%, earning M$12.94 over two months.
