Mahalo soft launched their first private-label Q&A community. It's for the people at Conundrum Wines. When people asks questions on the site, it feeds the questions into Mahalo for Mahalo users to answer. Many hope to see more companies implement this feature in the future.

Hmm. I guess the launch of Conundrum Wines is for august 25 , as it was announced after midnight. So that will be for another day.

This is what I've come up with:

Today in the Mahalo History we saw @buddawiggi win the Weekend edition of the Answer of the Day competition with his nomination of @maadhu for his answer on the question: Please give me details about birds of North America. We also saw the start of Barnraising #7 on Wine, while the previous Barnraising on Cell Phones is reaching its final day.

We also saw @girlieq3000 earn her brown belt, and over 150 new users signing up to participate on Mahalo.

actually it was only announced after midnight if you are using the clock for the website, which is off by several hours. for instance, i am on CST and it is 9:12 am here right now. i posted that 12 hours ago, which would be 9:12 pm yesterday... well before midnight, especially since jason is in california and it would have been closer to 7 pm when he announced it. =)

so i think it should be included for yesterday.

but i like what you have added. it makes it much better to have more than one thing for significant events.

I use the Mahalo clock to define whether something happened on what date, and the Conudrum announcement was August 25, 2009 12:52 AM.. Not sure if that's correct, but as an EU member, it is very tricky to define what Mahalo defines as a 'day'. Using the Mahalo time is most accurate, I think. Jeff, what is your take on this?

i've actually been wondering why the clock switched to show so many hours ahead of time... anyone know?

I think I know, the time seems to be UTC. The Universal Time, which is basically 'internet time'.

I suggested that some time ago, and maybe they've implemented that now.

Honestly, I don't think the day in history will be inaccurate if I count it as August 24th. I generally go by my clock (PST) when building these pages.

I do appreciate all the other events you added.
