EDIT: As of 2/26/09 we are no longer accepting submissions to the Mahalo Greenhouse.
The Mahalo Greenhouse, at one time, was the only way for individuals who were not full-time Mahalo employees to contribute to the site. We have since added other ways for people to get involved - including the Mahalo Answers community - but the general notion behind all these systems are the same: we need lots of fascinating, high-quality content to keep the site going and want to make it worthwhile and even profitable for the public to help us out in this project.
Nothing is really "deleted" from the Greenhouse unless it is offensive or inappropriate. If you have made a contribution, you may be contacted by a Mahalo guide and asked to make improvements or changes before we add it to the main Mahalo site and pay you for it, but your work would remain on the Greenhouse site itself regardless.
This page has all the information you'd need to get started:
http://greenhouse.mahalo.com/Mahalo_Guide_Handbook
I'd encourage you to give it a try. Pretty much every external contributor to Mahalo at this point got his or her start making Greenhouse pages.

I doubt your article will be deleted, it just might be adjusted to meet standards.

The Greenhouse, It's a great place to tone your skills in Wiki page building, the Mahalo Quality control guides will help you develop the skill to built pages efficiently. I started with the Greenhouse back July '07 and built pages to the point that I got a full time job in February '08. I say give it a shot, if you enjoy working online as a researcher and curator and have a passion for building timeless archives, it's well worth the time. I think most full time remote guides with Mahalo started off in the Greenhouse. I doubt your article will be deleted, it just might be adjusted to meet standards.
