Interesting is usually thought provoking, a unique question that you might not think about, yet creatively serves the community in some way. If a question is interesting, it's usually an out of the ordinary question, or a question that I would like to know the answer to myself. It's a question that pertains to a particular interest. A question that I believe can help or interest the community at large is usually more interesting than one that is self gratifying.
A question that is not interesting is usually not helpful, too hard or impossible to answer, requires too much effort for the answer, and could be offensive to some.

What are your criteria for judging whether a question should be voted as "interesting" or "not interesting?"
I rarely see anyone vote questions either way, but I'd like to see how you would choose. What does "interesting" mean to you? "Unique?" "Important?" "Controversial?" What about "not interesting?" "Poorly-written?" "Redundant?" "Vague?"

I've had a number of discussions about this with the Elite Eleven (hey, better than Twonky Twelve). If it's a factual question (one that requires a simple fact), then it's not interesting or interesting, so it gets no votes. If I see a question that is interesting to me, then I vote "yes". I RARELY vote "no", but if I see a question that is just silly or poor, then, I'll hit the "no" button.
