I would say that Mahalo helps you improve your writing and research skills. On Mahalo tasks, writing is extremely important, even if all of the information is found on the links provided in the task description. Building Mahalo pages also requires you to use your research & writing skills to find relevant information and present the information in a meaningful way on the page.

For Mahalo Answers, writing is important, but research is just as important -- finding a credible source that provides an answer to the question. With Mahalo Answers, you also use research skills to locate relevant videos & images.
