What activities are available on Mahalo?
I am trying to learn what types of tasks, contests, and activities one can do here at Mahalo. How to gather points and become an active community member. Thanks in advance for your help.

Mahalo.com being the research and content creation site that it is, has three main focal points of activity.
1. Mahalo Answers, this is where you are right now, this is like the community hub where most Mahaloians will converge to ask questions about Mahalo and perhaps even help a few other people find answers to their questions.

2. Page Management, this is where you go out and adopt a topic page on Mahalo. Go to Mahalo.com homepage and use the search, find any topic that you believe you are an expert in... Claim the page, you are now a Manager and you will earn 50% of the revenue that the page earns. If you are interesting in research, curating and generally improving search results for our visitors check out the Page Management Guide
3. Mahalo Tasks, these are small bits of writing on Topics that Mahalo is generating traffic for, but the pages are not complete. Mahalo needs writers to complete these tasks, so we put a bounty on them, Mahaloians claim and complete the task. They are rewarded with the bounty and they get to manage the page and reap the long tail rewards of their writing.
Beyond that, we here in Mahalo Answers have a few daily activities such as Answers of the Day that you can take part in.

1. Asking questions and in turn, rating answers and picking the best answer. Tipping also can take part at this stage, however, it is generally chosen prior to the posting of the question.
2. Answer questions. This earns about 2 points per question, unless you answer a question within an hour of its posting and then you receive 4 points. It is good to do your research because better and more accurate answers are more likely to be voted best, in which case you receive an extra 10 points. Tips are received for best or interesting answers, at the discretion of the asker.
3. Be a page manager, This can be a more interactive aspect, as you can be on a team that manages a page for a certain topic.
4. Complete tasks. Similar to answering questions but in a more how-to, step by step explanation.
5. Participate in contests held by individual members. For example, one member is currently offering a tip for anyone who can find a currently unanswered interesting question and provide the link for it and answer the question. Other members hold "raffles" with the names of other members who have responded to their posts.
