Two ways to search Mahalo Answers: Google Site search and now BackType.com--how do you search Answers?

There is a very cool new service called BackType that is, essentially, a search engine for comments and comments only. We've allowed them to index Mahalo Answers and this should create a nice secondary way to do searches.

Also, you can search Mahalo Answers ONLY on Google by using the site operator like this:

searchterm site:mahalo.com/answers

so, you can search google for:

bob dylan site:mahalo.com/answers

To restrict searches to Mahalo Answers on BackType, you can use the site operator:
"bob dylan site:www.mahalo.com/answers"

I'll definitely be using Backtype.com . On most sites I read, I pick up a lot of good ideas/information in the comments. But on Mahalo, almost all of what I'd need to know would be in the comments anyhow!

That's really cool. I am a big fan of google, and i've found that they have been indexing mahalo answers in breakneck speeds, so I will probably continue to use google. But that's awesome that you got backtype to index mahalo. It will help.
