Thoughts and suggestions for a "Mahalo User Guide" page

I have been working on a Mahalo User Guide Page: mahalo-user-guide
I'm wondering if anyone more has any suggestions for content.

Also, do you think it is a good idea or is there already enough info from the Mahalo staff?

When I worked in the Greenhouse, I felt that the information that explained how to work in the Greenhouse was much easier to find.. Since trying to work here, I am finding information of how to work in the new Mahalo world by accident, or because someone's question led me to some information. I personally would like to see all of the information about working in the new Mahalo, better organized and easier to find. Look at some of the Greenhouse pages to see what I am talking about. There was a page that basically listed all of the help pages... and you only had to go to one page which led you to all of others. This is what I am hopping to see. Instead of here a page, there a page. Just my two cents... but it has been one thing that has been frustrating to me and I know others. Good luck

That is really what I was intending to do. To make a single page with links to all the relevant sections. But I am starting to think the (fairly new?) help dropdown on the main page of mahalo.com is pretty much filling that need. So I am now thinking just the addition of a more advanced FAQ would be nice to see.

I think the Mahalo staff already have pages like this about how to use the website. But, there is nothing that says you can't make your own page about it.

This brings up a good issue I have been thinking about. I think the official information pages about Mahalo should be separate, and not part of the managed Mahalo Pages. Right now they are helpful, but they don't seem that official because they appear just like any other page that anyone can manage and edit.

I agree. There should at least be links to a main page which is all about Mahalo, including all of the info, because people new to Mahalo won't know that you need to use the search option to find out about Mahalo. They're too new to fully utilize Mahalo yet.

I think the how-mahalo-works page is intended to be the starting point for information. I'm just not sure if it has everything that is needed.

I was intending to add additional information while guiding users to the Mahalo pages that have information on the particular topic.

I like the dropdown "What is Mahalo" section on the main page. And I think the 3 pages you mentioned are looking pretty good now. I'm wondering if a more advanced FAQ might be good to have though. The questions and answers I posted may be a good start, but I think that something more intuitive (a way to search through the FAQ) might be better.
