I am located on Long Island, NY. I have 10mbit FIOS.
As you can see my Mac crawls loading most pages. In every case it is the categories on the right that slow things down loading one at a time. The pages that went quickly are the profile pages I visited, the help page and the page explaining the points. Other pages display most of the content right away, but then take a long time to finish. Canceling a page load midway prevents me from clicking submit answer, voting or entering text by the way.
I will be happy to redo this in full screen if you don't mind the huge file. This is just a test really. Safari is slightly faster but not much better.

My ISP is AT&T and I live in Michigan (Detroit Area)

I noticed that most of the pages load quickly. The ones that seemed slow were the ones that are not accessed a lot (like http://www.mahalo.com/December_30)

TASK: Benchmark Mahalo with LORI and screencast it.
Looking to figure out how long pages are taking to load for you guys. For this task please install LORI for firefox ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1743 ) and do a screencast loading pages on Mahalo. Start from the homepage and open a story then click on internal mahalo links in the Guide note.Lori will show these four stats at the bottom. Looking to see how long it takes you to load pages. Try loading like 20 pages and upload the video somewhere. Tell us where you are located and who is your ISP. I'll pay M$3 for up to five people to do this. I use Jing for screencasting but there are other services.

Jason, here is a full screen video of my navigating to just two MA pages. I scrolled down while it was loading so that you can see what I mean by the categories slowing things down.
