My recipe is a wonderful hot bubble bath with Lavender Essential Oils, a book I've been dying to read, instrumental music on my MP3 player through portable speakers, and maybe a couple of lavender candles (yes, I find lavender very relaxing). I would also make sure to leave all phones out of hearing distance and lock the door to the bathroom. It's my time to pamper myself and I don't want to be disturbed! When I get out of the bath I make sure I have a nice big soft bath towel waiting for me and my softest robe and slippers to slip into afterwards. If I don't feel relaxed by then, something is really wrong :)

Professor Lewin is also very dynamic and does some great experiments in the classroom. The lectures are not recorded by a cheap webcam either, they are all very high quality.
You don't have to choose physics of course there are hundreds if not thousands of lectures that you could find interesting.

Myself, I do a lot of cross stitching. A lot of people don't have the patients to do something like that, but I find it gives my mind time to really think things out, and I get something beautiful when I'm done with it. I also like to take walks and just let my mind wander. It sometimes brings things into a whole new light. I know there are lots of things to do to destress, but I'd like to know what everyone else does.

My answer was going to be to take my new car to a track and see what kind of numbers I could pull off.... but I think the Veyron idea is better!

When I want to relax for an hour or escape the stress of being in law school and working I watch lectures from iTunes University. I'm almost done with physics by walter lewin at MIT and I love it. Not having to worry about the homework and exams just lets me focus on a subject that can easily take up all your brain power so you have none left to remember why you were so stressed out. Professor Lewin is also very dynamic and does some great experiments in the classroom. The lectures are not recorded by a cheap webcam either, they are all very high quality.
